Theranica Presents Real-World Evidence Supporting Drug-Free Migraine Treatment at CNS 2025
核心洞察
Theranica (搜索) will present new real-world evidence from 55,000 patients at the 2025 Child Neurology Society Annual Meeting, demonstrating the effectiveness of its Nerivio (搜索) REN wearable device for migraine treatment.
Early treatment within one hour of migraine onset nearly doubled the likelihood of achieving pain relief compared to delayed treatment in the largest prospective real-world migraine study to date.
Three-year longitudinal data showed sustained efficacy with patients achieving approximately 74% pain relief and 70% functional disability relief without treatment fatigue.
Theranica (搜索) announced its participation at the 2025 Child Neurology Society (CNS) Annual Meeting in Charlotte, N.C., where the company will present compelling real-world evidence supporting its FDA-cleared Nerivio (搜索) Remote Electrical Neuromodulation (REN) wearable for migraine treatment in pediatric and adult populations.
Landmark Real-World Evidence from 55,000 Patients
The company will present two significant real-world evidence studies that demonstrate the clinical impact of the Nerivio (搜索) REN wearable. The first study (RWE10) represents one of the largest prospective real-world studies of migraine to date, encompassing 55,000 patients, including nearly 9,000 children and adolescents.
The timing study revealed that REN treatments initiated within one hour of migraine onset were nearly twice as likely to achieve pain relief, pain freedom, and freedom from associated symptoms compared to attacks with delayed treatment (p<0.001). These findings underscore the critical importance of timely intervention with the REN wearable for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Sustained Long-Term Efficacy Without Treatment Fatigue
The second study (RWE08) provides three-year longitudinal data demonstrating consistent efficacy without tachyphylaxis (treatment fatigue). Patients used the Nerivio (搜索) device an average of 8.4 times per month, achieving sustained pain relief in approximately 74% of cases and functional disability relief in approximately 70% of cases.
The outcomes remained stable over the three-year observation period with minimal device-related adverse events, highlighting both the tolerability and long-term safety profile of the treatment approach.
Addressing Pediatric Migraine Care Needs
Theranica (搜索) will host a dedicated product theater showcasing the Nerivio (搜索) REN wearable's role in pediatric neurology. The presentation will focus on the device's dual-use capability for both acute and preventive treatment in pediatric populations, offering an alternative to traditional pharmacological approaches without the associated risks of drugs, needles, or invasive procedures.
"We are excited to engage with the pediatric neurology community at this year's CNS Annual Meeting," said Alit Stark-Inbar, VP of Medical Information and Research at Theranica (搜索). "Through our product theater and new real-world evidence studies, we look forward to highlighting the clinical value of the Nerivio (搜索) REN wearable as a safe, drug-free migraine treatment option for children and adolescents."
Technology and Clinical Application
The Nerivio (搜索) REN wearable operates through gentle electrical pulses applied to the arm, which activate the brain's natural pain regulation system. The device is controlled via a smartphone app and is FDA-cleared for patients aged 8 and above. It functions as both an acute treatment for relieving migraine symptoms during an attack and as a preventive therapy to reduce the frequency and burden of future episodes.
The device has been used in more than one million treatments across the United States, providing treatment options for diverse patient populations including children, veterans, individuals with comorbidities, and women of childbearing age. The technology offers migraine management without the risk of systemic side effects or drug interactions typically associated with pharmacological interventions.
