TISSIUM Secures Up to €60M Financing to Accelerate Commercial Rollout of Sutureless Nerve Repair Platform

The funding will support the U.S. commercial rollout of Coaptium Connect (搜索), the company's first FDA-authorized sutureless platform for atraumatic peripheral nerve repair.
TISSIUM also appointed Marc Quartulli as Vice President of Clinical Affairs to strengthen clinical strategy and regulatory readiness across its three core indications.
TISSIUM, a medical technology company pioneering biomorphic programmable polymers for tissue reconstruction, has secured a financing package worth up to €60 million (approximately $68.2 million) to support the commercial rollout of its sutureless nerve repair platform. The package consists of a €30 million Series D2 financing completed in late 2025 and a facility of up to €30 million from the European Investment Bank (搜索) (EIB), the lending arm of the European Union.
The funding follows the company's receipt of de novo authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the Coaptium Connect (搜索) sutureless platform in peripheral nerve repair. Coaptium Connect represents TISSIUM's first commercial product and leverages a bioresorbable light-activated surgical polymer combined with a 3D-printed polymer chamber to enable atraumatic, sutureless nerve repair.

The EIB facility is structured in three tranches of €10 million each, linked to commercial, clinical, and financing milestones. New and existing international investors, including those based in the U.S., participated in the Series D2 round.
Clinical Leadership Strengthened
In parallel with the financing, TISSIUM announced the appointment of Marc Quartulli as Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Quartulli brings extensive experience in clinical development and medical affairs across the medical device industry, most recently serving as Vice President of Clinical Affairs at AlvaMed, Inc. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at Conformis, including Vice President of Clinical Affairs, Professional Affairs & Market Access, where he led global clinical strategies for innovative orthopedic solutions.

Pipeline and Platform Expansion
Beyond nerve repair, TISSIUM is advancing applications in atraumatic hernia repair and cardiovascular sealing. The company received an investigational device exemption (IDE) from the FDA in September 2025 for a clinical trial to study its Eclipsium (搜索) treatment for ventral hernia (搜索) repair. The new funding will support clinical activities, expansion of the technology platform, and acceleration of the company's U.S. rollout.
