Vasa Therapeutics Partners with Lilly TuneLab to Accelerate AI-Driven CAMKII Inhibitor Development
核心洞察
Vasa Therapeutics (搜索) has partnered with Eli Lilly to utilize Lilly TuneLab's AI/ML predictive models for accelerating candidate selection in their CAMKII delta (搜索) inhibitor platform.
The collaboration will leverage Lilly's proprietary drug discovery models trained on decades of research data to complement Vasa's structural biology platform for cardiovascular and neuromuscular disorders.
Vasa plans to initiate a Phase 1 clinical trial with their CAMKII delta (搜索) inhibitor in 2027, expanding their pipeline targeting heart failure, peripheral arterial disease, and neuromuscular conditions.
Vasa Therapeutics (搜索), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has announced a strategic partnership with Eli Lilly and Company to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for drug discovery. The collaboration will integrate Lilly TuneLab's AI-enabled platform with Vasa's CAMKII delta (搜索) inhibitor development program, targeting cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and age-related disorders.
AI-Powered Drug Discovery Platform
The partnership enables Vasa to access Lilly TuneLab, an AI-enabled drug discovery platform that provides biotech companies with drug discovery models trained on Lilly's proprietary data accumulated over decades of research. Vasa's CAMKII delta (搜索) inhibitor platform, built on extensive crystallography data, will utilize these predictive models to accelerate candidate selection processes.
"We are excited to utilize Lilly predictive AI/ML discovery models trained on decades of research data as a complement to our robust structural biology platform to accelerate candidate selection of our CAMKII delta (搜索) asset and further expand our clinical pipeline," said Artur Plonowski, CEO and Co-Founder of Vasa Therapeutics (搜索).
Privacy-Preserving Technology
The collaboration incorporates federated learning, a privacy-preserving approach that allows biopharmaceutical companies to contribute datasets and access Lilly's AI models without directly exposing their proprietary data or Lilly's confidential information. Vasa will contribute internal experimental datasets to support the platform's continued improvement while maintaining data security.
Clinical Pipeline Advancement
Vasa's current clinical pipeline includes multiple assets in various stages of development. VS-041 is currently undergoing a Proof-of-Mechanism trial for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), while VS-214 (搜索) is on track for its first-in-human trial in 2026. The company plans to initiate a Phase 1 clinical trial with their CAMKII delta (搜索) inhibitor in 2027.
Therapeutic Focus Areas
Vasa Therapeutics (搜索) has engineered a pipeline of four differentiated assets targeting unmet medical needs across multiple therapeutic areas. The company's focus encompasses heart failure, peripheral arterial disease, neuromuscular disorders, sarcopenia, and life-threatening arrhythmias. By focusing on mechanisms with strong clinical relevance, Vasa aims to deliver disease-modifying therapies that provide clinically meaningful and durable outcomes for patients with limited treatment options.
The partnership represents a strategic approach to combining structural biology expertise with advanced AI capabilities to accelerate the development of first-in-class therapeutics for cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and age-related disorders.
