The strategic acquisition aims to establish Worldwide as a leading oncology-focused CRO while maintaining depth across multiple therapeutic areas and expanding its global footprint for clinical trials.
Strategic Combination Creates Enhanced Oncology Platform
The transaction will see Catalyst Board chairman Nick Dyer join Worldwide's board of directors while Catalyst president and CEO Nik Morton will become part of Worldwide's executive leadership team. This integration combines Catalyst's two established solutions – Catalyst Oncology (搜索) and Catalyst Flex – with Worldwide's existing portfolio, offering customers expanded services for full-service, FSP resourcing, and hybrid models.

Transaction Details and Timeline
Worldwide will acquire Catalyst for an undisclosed amount, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2026. Both companies remain committed to ensuring a seamless transition for employees, customers, and partners.
Worldwide is a portfolio company of Kohlberg (搜索), based in Mount Kisco, N.Y., which invests in healthcare and services companies. Catalyst is a portfolio company of QHP Capital (搜索), based in Research Triangle Park, N.C., which focuses on life sciences and pharma services companies. BofA Securities (搜索) served as exclusive advisor and Smith Anderson (搜索) served as legal counsel to Catalyst, while Greenberg Traurig (搜索) served as legal counsel to Worldwide.
The combined organization will span over 60 countries with more than 4,500 team members, therapeutically focused on neuroscience (搜索), oncology (搜索), rare disease (搜索), and cardiometabolic and inflammatory disease (搜索).
