Xcellon Biologics Expands ADC Development Capabilities Through Strategic Partnerships with Invenra and IntoCell
核心洞察
Xcellon Biologics (搜索) announced two strategic collaborations to advance antibody-drug conjugate development, partnering with Invenra Inc. (搜索) for multispecific ADCs and IntoCell for next-generation payload technologies.
The partnership with Invenra combines proprietary B-Body® bispecific and T-Body™ trispecific antibody platforms with Xcellon's bioconjugation and manufacturing services to accelerate clinical translation.
IntoCell's OHPAS drug-linker platform (搜索), featuring Duocarmycin (搜索) and Nexatecan (搜索)-based payloads, will be integrated into Xcellon's ADC development toolbox to expand innovation opportunities.
Xcellon Biologics (搜索), a Maryland-based contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in antibody-drug conjugates (搜索), has announced two strategic partnerships aimed at expanding its ADC development capabilities and accelerating the translation of innovative therapeutics from discovery to clinic.
Multispecific ADC Development with Invenra
The first collaboration pairs Xcellon with Invenra Inc. (搜索), a Wisconsin-based biotechnology company pioneering multispecific antibody platform technologies. Under this partnership, Invenra will leverage its proprietary B-Body® Bispecific platform (搜索) and T-Body™ Trispecific antibody platform to generate novel multispecific antibody formats, while Xcellon Biologics (搜索) will provide bioconjugation, ADC development, and manufacturing services.
"Our platforms eliminate lengthy optimization, supporting a seamless path from initial discovery to clinical ADC candidates," said Bonnie Hammer, Executive VP R&D of Invenra. "This greatly accelerates and de-risks our partners' ADC programs."
Roland Green, CEO of Invenra, emphasized the therapeutic potential of the collaboration: "Our B-Body and T-Body multispecific antibody discovery platforms are designed to unlock new biology and expand the reach of targeted therapies. Xcellon's expertise in bioconjugation, ADC development, and manufacturing makes them an ideal partner to help advance these innovative constructs toward the clinic."
Invenra's platforms combine rapid antibody discovery with high developability, streamlining progression from concept to clinic. The company's Rapid Bispecific Discovery Services can deliver lead panels in as little as four months, while the B-Body Express™ service quickly produces high-quality bispecifics from partner-provided sequences.
Advanced Payload Technologies Through IntoCell Partnership
The second strategic alliance brings together Xcellon and IntoCell Inc. (搜索), a South Korea-based biotechnology company developing next-generation payload and linker technologies for ADCs. IntoCell is KOSDAQ-listed as of May 2025 and focuses on novel linker and payload technologies for next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (搜索).
Through this collaboration, IntoCell's proprietary OHPAS drug-linker platform (搜索), which includes Duocarmycin (搜索) and Nexatecan (搜索)-based payloads, will be integrated into Xcellon Biologics (搜索)' ADC development toolbox. Xcellon will provide bioconjugation, ADC development, and manufacturing services to support biotech and pharmaceutical companies utilizing IntoCell's technologies.
"By integrating IntoCell's proprietary OHPAS linker and payload platforms with Xcellon's bioconjugation and manufacturing expertise, we aim to provide global innovators with the tools and support necessary to bring differentiated ADC therapies to patients faster," said Tae Kyo Park, CEO of IntoCell.
Comprehensive CDMO Strategy
Both partnerships align with Xcellon's strategic vision to become a comprehensive service provider for complex biologics development. "Our vision is to make Xcellon Biologics (搜索) a one-stop shop for the early development of ADCs and complex biologics," said Abhishake Chhibber, Board Member of Xcellon Biologics.
Yuk Chiu, Co-Founder & COO of Xcellon Biologics (搜索), highlighted the operational advantages: "Our U.S.-based infrastructure provides the agility and technical depth needed to support advanced ADC programs from concept through IND-enabling studies."
The collaborations enhance Xcellon's existing capabilities in complex biologics, including antibody-drug conjugates (搜索), bioconjugates, bispecific antibodies, and T-cell engagers. Through its flexible and scalable development model, Xcellon supports programs from early discovery through IND readiness.
Market Impact and Future Outlook
These strategic partnerships position Xcellon to address the growing demand for sophisticated ADC development services. By integrating cutting-edge multispecific antibody platforms and advanced payload technologies, the company aims to accelerate timelines and expand innovation opportunities for next-generation ADC programs.
The collaborations reflect the broader industry trend toward specialized partnerships that combine complementary technologies and expertise to advance complex therapeutic modalities. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Linden Lake Labs (搜索), a Maryland-based life sciences venture creation platform, Xcellon benefits from strategic capital, infrastructure, and operational support to scale its operations and capabilities.
