Clinical Significance of MIPLYFFA
MIPLYFFA's approval marks a significant advancement in the treatment of NPC, a rare, progressive, neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the body's inability to transport cholesterol and other lipids within cells. This dysfunction leads to the accumulation of these substances, affecting various cell types, including neurons, and resulting in significant physical and cognitive impairments, often leading to early mortality.
