Ahmedabad-based Zydus Lifesciences Ltd has entered into an exclusive agreement with US molecular diagnostics leader Myriad Genetics (搜索) to introduce advanced cancer risk assessment and prognostic tests to the Indian healthcare market. The partnership will bring three key diagnostic platforms to Indian patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems: MyRisk Hereditary Cancer Test, MyChoice HRD Plus Test, and Prolaris Prostate Cancer Prognostic Test.
Comprehensive Genetic Testing Portfolio
The MyRisk Hereditary Cancer Test represents the most comprehensive offering in the partnership, analyzing 63 clinically significant genes associated with hereditary cancer risk, including BRCA1 (搜索), BRCA2 (搜索), PALB2 (搜索), ATM (搜索), TP53 (搜索), MLH1 (搜索), and MSH2 (搜索). The test covers more than 11 different cancer types, including breast, ovarian, lung, pancreatic, colorectal, endometrial, prostate, gastric, and melanoma cancers.
When combined with family history and clinical factors such as breast density, the MyRisk Test with RiskScore provides eligible patients with individualized five-year and remaining lifetime breast cancer risk assessments. This comprehensive approach enables personalized prevention strategies and screening plans tailored to individual genetic profiles.
The test is particularly relevant for patients with cancer history in breast, ovarian, colorectal, endometrial, pancreatic, prostate, or melanoma cancers, individuals with strong family history of related or early-onset cancers, those with known familial mutations like BRCA1 (搜索)/2, PALB2 (搜索), CHEK2, ATM (搜索), or Lynch genes, and proactive individuals considering risk-reducing surgery or long-term risk assessment.
