- Chinese researchers have developed "Bone-02," a medical adhesive inspired by oyster biology that can repair fractures and shattered bones in just two to three minutes. - The adhesive has been tested in over 150 patients and demonstrates a bonding force exceeding 400 pounds, with the ability to function effectively in blood-rich environments where traditional adhesives fail. - Unlike metal implants, Bone-02 is naturally absorbed by the body during healing, eliminating the need for secondary removal surgeries and potentially reducing infection risks. - Clinical trials show promising results with procedures that normally require steel plates and screws being completed in under three minutes using a single injection through a small incision.
