NIH Awards $26M to Advance RI-CTR for Third Five-Year Phase of Clinical and Translational Research

- The National Institutes of Health has awarded a $26 million grant to Rhode Island's statewide clinical and translational research hub to fund its next five years of work. - The National Institute of General Medical Sciences issued the award on Sept. 3 to Brown University, the host institution for the Advance RI-CTR program. - Advance RI-CTR, launched in 2016, supports biomedical and public health scholars working to translate scientific discoveries into patient care improvements. - The program is a partnership spanning Brown University, the University of Rhode Island, Brown University Health, Care New England, the V.A. Providence Healthcare System and community organizations.
