Brief Summary

This study is a prospective, comparative, randomised control trial which aims to compare the efficacy of using ultrasound guided measurement of subglottic diameter versus traditional formulae to predict the size of endotracheal tube in children aged between 6 months to 8 years undergoing cleft lip or cleft palate surgery in Central hospital, South Eastern Railway, 11 Garden Reach Road, Kolkata 700043. The study will also compare various formulae used to select endotracheal tube size in pediatric population.

Inclusion Criteria

posted for cleft lip or cleft palate repair otherwise healthy.

Exclusion Criteria

Non consent of parents babies less than ideal weight for age babies with cardiac anomalies.
