1)Age greater than 14 years.
2)Mandibular second premolar or first molar extraction cases.
3)Missing mandibular second premolar with/without retained deciduous second molars.
4)No signs of spontaneous mesial posterior tooth movement due to exfoliation of the deciduous second molar on the agenesis site.
5)Treatment plan should include mandibular molar mesialization of 4mm or more.
6)Healthy periodontium at the start of the treatment.
7)No tooth size arch length discrepancy.
1)Missing or extracted mandibular second molars.
2)Grossly decayed mandibular second molars.
3)Patients who had received prosthetic treatment for the missing teeth.
4)History of previous orthodontic treatment.
5)Patients with systemic diseases, cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities
6)Patient who is undertaking treatment for any disease or under medication which can affect tooth movement.
