Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\)Age greater than 14 years.
- •2\)Mandibular second premolar or first molar extraction cases.
- •3\)Missing mandibular second premolar with/without retained deciduous second molars.
- •4\)No signs of spontaneous mesial posterior tooth movement due to exfoliation of the deciduous second molar on the agenesis site.
- •5\)Treatment plan should include mandibular molar mesialization of 4mm or more.
- •6\)Healthy periodontium at the start of the treatment.
- •7\)No tooth size arch length discrepancy.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Missing or extracted mandibular second molars.
- •2\)Grossly decayed mandibular second molars.
- •3\)Patients who had received prosthetic treatment for the missing teeth.
- •4\)History of previous orthodontic treatment.
- •5\)Patients with systemic diseases, cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities
- •6\)Patient who is undertaking treatment for any disease or under medication which can affect tooth movement.
