Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Mandibular second premolar or first molar extraction cases.
- •2\) Missing mandibular second premolar with/without retained deciduous second molars.
- •3\) Carious second premolar or first molar with poor prognosis.
- •4\) No signs of spontaneous mesial posterior tooth movement due to exfoliation of the deciduous second molar on the agenesis site.
- •5\) Treatment plan should include mandibular molar mesialization of 4mm or more.
- •6\) No tooth size arch length discrepancy.
- •7\) Good oral hygiene
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Missing or extracted mandibular second molars.
- •2\) Grossly decayed mandibular second molars.
- •3\) Patients who had received prosthetic treatment for the missing teeth.
- •4\) Previous orthodontic treatment
- •5\) Moderate or severe periodontitis.
- •6\) Patients with systemic diseases, cleft lip and palate
