Inclusion Criteria

Age between 20 and 50 years; both sexes; body mass index between 25 kg.m-2 and 35 kg.min-2; absence of any chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, among others, except obesity) and musculoskeletal abnormalities; do not practice physical activity regularly (exercise lasting less than 30 minutes three times a week); and do not make regular use of medications such as vitamins or anti-inflammatory drugs.

Exclusion Criteria

Menopausal or postmenopausal women; smokers; athletes.
