1.ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) grade I-II patients
2.Patients scheduled to undergo restoration of bowel continuity
1.Cardiac conduction abnormalities and congestive heart failure
2.Renal or hepatic impairment
3.Neurological disorders
4.Pregnant and lactating women
5.Patients not able to understand VAS
6.History of substance abuse
7.Contraindications to study drugs: lignocaine, paracetamol ,tramadol and diclofenac
8.Chronic pain conditions, neurodegenerative or autoimmune disorders.

Name Time Method 1.Visual analogue scale at rest and on movement <br/ ><br>2.Time to rescue analgesia and total rescue analgesia <br/ ><br>3.Arterial blood gas(ABG) analysis <br/ ><br>4.Haemodynamics <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1. VAS score: baseline, post extubation, 1h in postoperative care unit (PACU), at 6h, 12 h and 24 h. <br/ ><br>2. Time to first rescue and total analgesia: in PACU and in postoperative period upto <br/ ><br>24 h. <br/ ><br>3. Baseline before surgery, before extubation, after 6h ,24h <br/ ><br>4.Haemodynamics (PR, BP,RR): baseline, at time of induction, after intubation, every 5 minutes during surgery, at time of extubation, every 5 minutes for 15 min, every 15 minutes upto 1 h in PACU, then in ward at 6 h, 12 h and 24 h. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>
