Inclusion Criteria
ASA I/II
18-65 years
Undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
Anti-emetic drugs or steroid administration within 24 hr before anaesthesia
K/c/o diabetes mellitus, pheochromocytoma, carcinoid tumour, gastro-oesophageal reflux, gastric outlet/ intestinal obstruction, PONV, motion sickness, migraine
H/o pancreatitis, alcoholism, jaundice or liver disorders
Obesity (BMI >30 kg/m2)
Pregnancy or lactation
Emergency surgery
Patients on continuous steroid therapy for >5 days in the last one year.
