1. Subjects aged 18-25 years
2. Subjects with no systemic disorders like diabetes and hematological disorders
3. Subjects with atleast 20 natural teeth
4. Patients with gingivitis (moderate and severe)
5. No history of periodontal therapy
6. No history of use of antibiotics within preceding 6 months of start of study
7. Subjects who give a voluntary informed consent to participate in the study
1. Known allergy to constituents of the formulation of toothpowder and toothpaste
2. Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment
3. Advanced periodontal disease (purulent exudate, tooth mobility, and/or extensive loss of periodontal attachment or alveolar bone)
4. Pregnant women or women who are breast-feeding
5. Those whose received a dental prophylaxis in the past two weeks prior to baseline examinations.
6. Smokers
