Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •The diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis is based on two or more of the following findings:
- •a.Patients who have had abdominal pain of > 6 months duration without diabetes
- •b.Patients with history of recurrent acute pancreatitis with > 3 episodes of pain associated with imaging diagnostic of acute pancreatitis and/or elevated serum amylase or lipase 3 times normal.
- •c.CP diagnosed by Pancreas calcifications on CT scan, or abnormal ERCP; ductal or parenchymal abnormalities on Endoscopic ultrasonography,
- •d.Histopathologic confirmed diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis
- •Ability to give informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Age less than 18 or more than 60 years
- •2.CP patients with diabetes
- •3.CP patients with other comorbidities and Patients with grossly atrophic pancreas on imaging
- •4.CP patients with malignancy
- •5.Pregnant or lactating women
- •6.Inability to give informed consent.
