People with dogs:
1) Those who are currently living with at least 1 dog for a minimum of 3 years
2) Residing in tier-1 metropolitan cities in India; Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
People without dogs:
1) Individuals who have never raised a dog at home
2) Residing in tier-1 metropolitan cities in India; Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
People with dogs:
1) People with any other type of animals as pets (cats, fish, birds)
2) People who have dogs but are not currently raising them/are physically separated from them
3) Those who have had dogs in the past and currently donâ??t
4) Those who have had a dog for less than 3 years
5) Clinical population (those with diagnosed mental health illnesses) are excluded in order to restrict the role of existing mental conditions on the results of the study; individuals who will be screened for high psychological distress
People without dogs:
