Knowledge and Utilization of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in adult population of Mangalore: A Cross-Sectional Study

This study aims to assess the knowledge, willingness, and utilization of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) among adults in Urban Mangalore. It is a community-based cross-sectional study conducted across four wards involving **985 participants,**in the Dakshina Kannada district. The study targets adults above 18 years, selecting the head of the family as the primary respondent. The methodology includes a structured questionnaire covering demographic details, knowledge, attitudes, and utilization of CAM. Statistical analysis will be conducted using Jamovi 2.3.28, with descriptive statistics (mean, median, standard deviation) for continuous variables and chi-square tests to determine associations. Statistical significance is set at p < 0.05. This study will contribute to understanding CAM utilization patterns in urban India, guiding health policies and public health interventions.
