All patients with inactive inflammatory bowel disease between 18 to 60 years of age, presenting to department of gastroenterology during the period between January 2017 and September 2018, will be included in the study after obtaining informed consent.
All patients with Crohnâ??s disease having CDAI score below 150.
All patients with Ulcerative colitis who have complete mayo score below or equal to 2.
All patients with 25-OH vitamin â??D concentrations less than 29ng/ml.
Chronic kidney disease
Chronic liver disease
Pregnancy
Lactation
Medications such as anticonvulsants, antituberculosis drugs, statins, thiazides and vitamin-D supplements and Patients with ongoing steroid therapy.
All patients of Crohnâ??s disease with CDAI score above 150.
All patients with Ulcerative colitis with complete mayo score above 2.
All patients with 25-OH vitamin â??D concentrations more than 29ng/ml.
Patients having symptomatic vitamin-D deficiency.
