Cases and controls: individuals 2-17 years and 11 months; of both sexes in regular outpatient follow-up for at least 1 year and that have in the last three months:24h proteinuria less than 50 mg / kg / day or 40 mg / m² of body surface area (BSA)Serum Albumin > 2.0 g / dl;
total cholesterol > 170 mg / dl and / or triglyceride levels > 130 mg / dl; preserved renal function (glomerular filtration rate > 60ml / min); in corticoids (prednisone < 1mg / kg / day) and / or cyclosporin 5mg / kg / day; not in use of statins,do not have infectious processes at the time of selection; have not presented clinical or laboratory decompensated SN less than 3 months.
Individuals with kidney disease from stage III; pregnant women; cancer patients; acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, hypothyroidism, metabolic disease; severe cardiovascular disease; cerebrovascular diseas; symptomatic heart failure; viral or bacterial infectious diseases.
