Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Elective surgical operation or procedure with a planned duration of more than 60 minutes
  • •\- Able to give informed consent independently
  • •\- Exsistence of a signed informed consent form

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Known neurological or psychiatric illness, in particular epilepsy or a history of epileptic seizures
  • •\- Contraindications for tDCS/tACS application
  • •\- Long\-term medication with CNS\-active drugs
  • •\- Isolation due to multi\-resistant pathogens
  • •\- Inability of the patient to read or speak German
