Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Sixty patients
  • American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Grade I and II
  • aged from 18 to 65 years
  • of either sex
  • undergoing percutaneous vertebroplasty for vertebral compression fractures, metastatic fractures of the spine

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with known allergies to any drug used in the study
  • patients with a pregnancy
  • patients on sustained release narcotics and substance abuse
  • patients not giving consent
