Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Age of onset of diabetes of the proband between 7\-30 years
  • •2\.Body mass index below 30kg/m2
  • •3\.Family history of diabetes in one or both parents of the proband.
  • •4\.Duration of diabetes less than 2 years
  • •5\. Patients who understand the nature of study and willing to provide a written informed consent
  • •6\.Good pancreatic B\- cell reserve as shown by C\- peptide levels
  • •7\.GAD and / or Zinc Transporter or IA\-2 antibodies negative.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Type 1 diabetes
  • •2\.Gestational diabetes
  • •3\.Fibrocalculous pancreatic diabetes
  • •4\.Presence of acanthosis nigricans or severe obesity
