Inclusion Criteria
1.Patient posted for elective surgeries under general anesthesia with ET tube. 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II. 3. Age: 18 ââ?¬â?? 60 Years.
Exclusion Criteria
1) Predicted difficult airway.
2) Subjects requiring more than 15 secs or 2 attempts at laryngoscopy.
3) Obese patients (BMI >30).
4) Subjects on antihypertensive medication.
5) Pregnancy
6) seizure disorder
7) Known allergy to dexmedetomidine
8) Renal failure
9) Poor cardiopulmonary reserve
