Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Persons older than 18 year old.
  • 2\. Close contact of tuberculosis patient (live in the same household at least 4 hours/wk with patient who had sputum AFB positive and/or sputum culture TB positive).

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patient who had active pulmonary tuberculosis
  • \- Symptoms and signs which made doctor suspected of pulmonary tuberculosis (hemoptysis, cough for 2 wks, fever, weight loss)
  • \- sputum AFB or culture positive at least 1 time
  • \- Chest x\-ray showed pulmonary tuberculosis
  • 2\. Previous treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis
  • 3\. Immunocompromised status eg. receiving immunosuppressive agents or chemotherapy or underlying disease of immunocompromised status or cancer
