Inclusion Criteria
children weights >1.5kgs, oesophageal atresia with lower pouch , upper pouch at T2-3 levels
Exclusion Criteria
coexisting known congenital heart diseases or preoperative cyanosis, other coexisting gastrointestinal anomaly requiring surgical intervention, syndromic patients, long gap fistula amunable to primary anastomosis and diffuse infiltrates on chest xray
