To evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention through simulation for the prevention of diabetic foot for nursing students. A cross-sectional, prospective, almost experimental study, of the intervention type before and after with a quantitative analytical approach. Nursing students will be submitted to an educational intervention through simulation. Study with a cross-sectional, prospective, almost experimental design, of the intervention type before and after with a quantitative analytical approach. The effect on two outcomes will be observed: knowledge about prevention, identification and / or early recognition of signs and symptoms for the prevention of diabetic foot and the adoption of measures for tracking and monitoring. Nursing students will undergo an educational intervention. The data will be stored in a database in Excel format, entered by double entry, for later validation. Then, they will be imported into the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 21, for processing and analysis. For the analysis of the academic characterization, the sociodemographic and academic variables will be considered. The data will be presented in the form of distribution of absolute (n) and relative (%) frequencies, for categorical variables. As for the bivariate analysis of quantitative variables, the paired t-test for Competence and Knowledge will be used. and measures of central tendency (mean and median) and standard deviation. It is noteworthy that, for the comparison of the averages related to Knowledge, Skill Attitude, a zero value will be assigned for the wrong items and one for correct items.

The study will include nursing students regularly enrolled and who have already attended the disciplines of Technical Bases of Nursing Care, Semiology and Semiotechnics Applied to Nursing, Adult and Elderly Health, as these disciplines address the thematic physical examination, technical nursing and diabetes mellitus.
Academics with course locking, health and maternity leave will be excluded.
