Study Overview
Brief Summary
Aim of the study:
To investigate normative values of CKCUEST in modified test position among professional swimmers.
Significance of the study:
Can be used as reference value while screening the professional swimmers to rule out risk of injury/ reinjury in shoulder and can also be used to objectify the progression of rehabilitation in swimmers following shoulder injury. It may also be utilized to determine players return to sports
Procedure:
Tape will be placed 36 inches apart and participant will be in push-up position with hands placed directly under the shoulder. From this position, participant will reach across their body with one hand to touch the tape on opposite side. Once tape is touched, hand must return to initial starting position, then repeats same action with opposite hand.
Touches will be counted each time whenever hand touches the tape. Each trial will last for 15 seconds, there will be one warmup trial and 3 actual test trial with 45 seconds rest period between each trial.
