Efficacy of acetaminophen-ibuprofen combination at acute postoperative analgesia after laparoscopic gynecology surgery
- Conditions
- Diseases of the genitourinary system
- Registration Number
- KCT0007403
- Brief Summary
The median (Q1, Q3) pain score 15 min after surgery was comparable between two groups (5.0 (4.0, 7.0) in both groups, p=0.372). The pain intensity at 30 min and 24 h after surgery was comparable. However, the opioid use in the recovery room was lower in group I+A: 43.51 ± 38.22 µg vs. 62.91 ± 36.43 µg in group A (p=0.043). Other results were comparable. Despite of reduction in the opioid requirement in the recovery room, a single intraoperative administration of ibuprofen and acetaminophen does not decrease the pain score during recovery from gynecologic laparoscopy.
