入选标准
- •Patients of either sex between the ages of 10 upto 80 years suffering from chronic functional constipation having constipation severity system 1996 score between 15 to 20
排除标准
- •1 Patients with alarm features such as weight loss rectal bleeding, recent change in bowel habit less than a weeks prior to the study
- •2 Patient with abdominal pain and those whose stool was positive for occult blood and those with comorbid illnesses such as severe cardiovascular disease chronic renal failure or those with previous gastrointestinal surgery except cholecystectomy and appendectomy
- •3 Known case of neurologic diseases such as multiple sclerosis stroke spinal cord injury Hirschsprungs disease or active local anorectal problems such as anal fissure bleeding haemorrhoids
- •4Patients with alternating constipation and diarrhoea
- •5Patient unwilling to discontinue ongoing laxative medications at least for 2 week
