Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • For patients with diabetes:
  • a) Stable glycemic control on metformin or sulfonyleurea for past 3 months
  • b) without any major complication
  • c) HbAIc less than 8%

Exclusion Criteria

  • For both groups
  • a) Acute infections and advanced end-organ damage
  • b) History of hepatitis or pancreatitis, abnormal liver and renal functions
  • c) Recent ( <3 months) changes in weight
  • d) Any known allergy to mangoes and bread
  • e) Subjects with hypothyroidism
  • f) On any drug causing weight gain or weight loss
