Inclusion Criteria

The criteria for inclusion for students participating in the meditation group is older than 18 years, be student of UFAL (Federal University of Alagoas) and LGBT; be showing signs and symptoms of anxiety through MINI (MINI International Neuropsychiatric Interview) and/or IDATE (State trait anxiety inventory).
For the control group, the inclusion criteria will be the same.

Exclusion Criteria

Will be deleted the students who refuse to participate in the study; who have more than one absence per month in the meditation; those who do not fulfil the daily meditation and those who give up graduation during meditation practice.
For the control group, the exclusion criteria will be the same.

Primary Outcome Measures

Reduction of signs and symptoms of anxiety, by conducting meditation for 8 weeks. <br>The questionnaires will be applied in the fourth week and after 8 weeks of meditation (before and after the intervention). <br>Will be used: IDATE (State Trait anxiety inventory), the questionnaire for evaluating the Quality of Life- brief (WHOQOL-brief).<br>
