Inclusion Criteria
Patients with untreated chronic periodontitis with PD greater than or equal to 4 mm and radiographic signs of bone loss
Non smokers
Exclusion Criteria
Pregnant or lactating females
Use of immunosuppressive agents
Deleterious habits like smoking or alcohol consumption
Systemic or local antibiotic therapy within last 6 months
Periodontal therapy within last 6 months
Patients with systemic diseases or on any medications
