age 18-80 years; positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) for 6 months or more; having at least one of following dyspepsia symptoms: nausea, vomiting, belching, early satiety, postprandial fullness, epigastric discomfort, epigastric pain, bloating and anorexia for more than 6 months; underwent upper endoscopy within 6 months.
significant upper endoscopic findings accounting for symptoms of dyspepsia; having diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism or other endocrine disease; a previous history of GI tract cancer; a previous history of abdominal surgery; having hepatic?encephalopathy; a history of GI tract bleeding within one month; installing with a cardiac pacemaker; allergic to skin preparation; or familiar with acupuncture points and their functions
