Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Preoperative maximum monosyllabic score\>0% or 4FPTA better or equal to 80dB HL
  • •implanted with CI522/CI622
  • •preoperative hearing aid experience
  • •imaging without pathologic findings
  • •postlingual onset of hearing loss

Exclusion Criteria

  • •prelingual deafness
  • •mother tongue not German
  • •change of rehabilitation center
  • •incomplete insertion or tip fold\-over
  • •severe mental retardation
  • •no preoperative hearing aid experience
