- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the differences in

microbiome composition and diversity between different microbiota samples. To

achieve this objective, we will employ various statistical tests, including

t-tests or ANOVA, to compare the alpha and beta diversity measures between

microbiota samples.

- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
For the secondary objective we compare the rectal and anastomotic microbiota

composition for right and left-sided resections and evaluate the differences

between these groups. Specifically, we will use statistical tests, such as

t-tests or ANOVA, to compare the alpha and beta diversity measures between

rectal and anastomotic microbiota for right and left-sided resections.
