简要总结

The study title is Association between psychological factors, socioeconomic status and functional outcomes in subjects with rotator cuff pathologies: a cross-sectional study. The study aims to identify the  psychological  factors and socioeconomic status and to analyze the affected psychological domains in different socioeconomic categories. Furthermore it aims to assess the association between these psychological factors, socioeconomic status and the functional outcome in subjects with rotator cuff pathologies. Participants aged 18 to 75 years fulfilling the inclusion criteria would be recruited . The psychological component would be assesed using the OSPRO-YF scale; socioeconomic status using the Modified Kuppuswamy scale and functional outcome using SPADI. Data will further be subjected to statistical analysis.

入选标准

  • Subjects who are diagnosed with rotator cuff pathologies by an orthopeadic surgeon.
  • Participants needed to experience a painful arc during an active movement pf flexion and/or abduction and pain with resisted external rotation for detecting rotator cuff pathologies.
  • Participants needed range of glenohumeral movement to be largely preserved.

排除标准

  • Participants with a history of humeral instability.
  • Reasons to suspect systemic pathology including inflammatory disorders, cervical spine involvement or non-specific neck/shoulder pain.
  • Neurological symptoms.
  • Bilateral shoulder pain.
