Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
We believe is that inspiratory muscle strengthening through a linear pressure load device and transcutaneous electrical diaphragmatic stimulation are able to increase respiratory muscle strength, diaphragmatic index and increase lung function.;The results showed that there was an improvement in respiratory muscle strength with an increase in maximum inspiratory pressure (Pimax) by 36% in the group undergoing diaphragmatic stimulation (GE) and in 32% in the group that performed inspiratory training with a linear pressure load device (GT) after 4 weeks.;We evaluated the Diaphragmatic Index, in an intragroup comparison, there was no significant difference between the initial and final mean of the participants. Although we did not find any significant difference, the participants in the diaphragmatic stimulation (EG) group had an increase of 25%.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
We assessed the level of physical activity of the participants, of the 26 participants who completed the survey, it was possible to observe that the sample was made up mostly of insufficiently active individuals ”(46.2%) according to the IPAQ criteria;Although it was not an expected result, we observed that there was also an increase in expiratory muscle pressure. The GE group increased by ~ 40% and GT ~ 22%.
