Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1Age \=18\-\=80years
  • •2Patients diagnosed with gastric varices type GOV2 or IGV1 according to the Sarin classification(1\)
  • •3Treated for primary or secondary prophylaxis

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patients who did not give consent
  • •1 Age \< 18 years
  • •2 Patient with concurrent hepatorenal
  • •3 syndrome and/or multiorgan failure
  • •4 Pregnant or nursing female
  • •5 Platelet count \< 50 000 /mL or an international normalized ratio (INR)\=
  • •Esophageal stricture, or a known allergy to iodine
