Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •a. Volunteers who are aged 18-50 years
- •b. Presenting at least 1 tooth with diagnosed dentin hypersensitivity (Painful response to dental explorer) and VAS score at baseline of at least 5 for the sensitive teeth
- •c. Volunteers with good general and oral health and acceptable hygiene as determined by clinical investigator
- •d. Willingness to participate in the study and able to provide written and oral informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria
- •a. Systemic illness and/or dental emergency condition needing urgent treatment
- •b. Severe generalized periodontitis.
- •c. Non-surgical or surgical therapy for periodontitis within last 12 months
- •d. Presence of active caries, cracks, fractures in cervical areas of affected teeth
- •e. Restorations, prosthesis, orthodontic appliances involving cervical areas of affected teeth.
- •f. Ongoing use of analgesics, anti-inflammatory or anti-histaminic agents
- •g. Use of other home-care desensitizing toothpastes or in-office treatments within 8 weeks
- •h. Self-reported pregnancy or nursing
- •i. Current self-reported drug or alcohol dependence
- •j. Non-willingness to participate.
