Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. All children from age 6 months to 6 years for elective unilateral inguinal herniotomy
  • •2\. ASA Grade I and II

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Non consenting parents
  • •2\. Coagulopathy
  • •3\. Infection at site of puncture
  • •4\. Congenital anomaly of spine
  • •5\. Known allergy to drug used in study
  • •6\. Clinically important cardiac, renal, hepatic or neurological complications
