Brief Summary

Insomnia is a common sleep disorder or having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Nidranasha, an imbalance in Tarpaka Kapha, Sadhaka Pitta and Prana Vayu.  Anidra is vata nanatmaja vyadhi and also as a symptom in various physical and psychological disorders. Study design in this study is randomized and interventional study. Sample size in this study is 30 subjects with in 1 group. Route of administration of drug is orally at night after meal in 50ml of quantity. Total time period of this study is 1 month and follow up period in every 15 days. Final assessment of result is made on the basis of subjective and objective criteria. Appropriate statistical tests will be applied for subjective and objective parameters obtained.

Inclusion Criteria
  • 1)Patient of Anidra suffering upto 3 months of duration.
  • 3)Patient without any complication of other disease will include in this study.
Exclusion Criteria
  • 1)Anidra due to other conditions such as madatyaya,abhighata and othervsystemic diseases.
  • 2)Patients on hypnotic medicine or other drugs known to cause drowsiness.
  • 3)Patients with acute illness like myocardial infraction, congestive cardiac failure,COPD,meningitis,acute pain condition and similar other disease.
  • 4)Patients with major psychiatric illness like epilepsy,schizophrenia,major depressive psychosis etc.
  • 5)Patients having chronic disease like liver cirrhosis,asthma,malignancies,diabetes,hypertension and chronic renal failure.
