Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients with ASA physical status grade I and II of age 18 to 60 years planned for surgery under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients not consenting for study
- •Anticipated difficult airway
- •Seizure disorders
- •Patients on antidepressants/antipsychotics/antihypertensive like beta blocker
- •BMI \>30kg/meter square
- •Drug allergy
- •Patients with decreased autonomic control such as elderly, diabetic patients.
- •Patients with poor cardiopulmonary reserve
- •Renal disease
