Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Ischemic or hemorrhagic hemispheric stroke (confirmed by imaging).
- •\-Early subacute phase (7 \- 80 days post stroke) at inclusion
- •\-sufficient head control and able to sit
- •\-Sufficient vigilance for study participation
- •\- Patient should be able to understand the study \- with appropriate explanation \- and must be able to provide consent. If necessary, caregivers can be consulted to consent for the patient.
- •Additional criteria for Neglect subgroups: Presence of visuospatial neglect
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- previous stroke
- •\-Patient with stroke in the brain stem with vestibulo\-ocular symptoms
- •\- Epilepsy
- •\- Severe cognitive deficits
- •\- Severe traumatic brain injury, recent head surgery, craniectomy, metal implant in brain
- •\- Psychotropic medications, GABAergic preparations (L\-DOPA, SSRI and antiepileptic drugs due to non\-epileptic indication are allowed at a constant dose)
- •\- Pregnancy
- •\- History of severe alcoholism or substance abuse, severe psychiatric illness such as depression, psychosis (if not in remission)
