Inclusion Criteria
Patients with esophagus carcinoma that underwent hybrid Ivor Lewis esophagectomy and that gave their written consent

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Patients will undergo 24-h laryngopharyngeal pH measurement (Restech)and intraluminal impedance pH-monitoring at the same time so that the relationship between the two techniques can be evaluated (for assessment of gastrointestinal function).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Also they will undergo a routine check-up program with a surveillance endoscopie. <br>To evaluate the symptoms patients are asked to fill out a standardized questionnaire (GERD HRQL). When we collected all the data we can evaluate the relationship between the two different techniques and the symptoms of the patient.
