ASA Grade I, II
Weight between 50 -90 kgs
Non emergency surgery under general anaesthesia
Age < 18 years, non consenting, pregnant patients
Patients with uncontrolled co-existing systemic or metabolic dieseases. However their controlled counterparts (considered as ASA II ), shall be considered
History of alcohol or substance abuse
Known sensitivity to sevoflurane , desflurane or an other halogenated anaesthetic agent
Undergone recent GA within 7 days
Potential susceptibility to malignant hyperthermia .
