Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •age more than 18 years
- •respiratory rate more than 24 breath per minuts
- •use of accessory muscle or abdominal paradox
- •room air oxygen saturation below 95 %
Exclusion Criteria
- •Cardiac arrest
- •Unstable medical condition e.g. shock myocardial infarction
- •Respiratory failure defined by respiratory rate \> 35 breath per minutes and oxygen saturation \< 90% after oxygen theary
- •High risk for aspiration
- •Large amount of secretion
- •Glasgow coma scale \< 13
- •unco\-operated patients
- •untreated pneumothorax
- •recent airway or upper GI tract or esophageal surgery
- •required immediate intubation
