Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.age group: 2\-14yrs
- •2\.all patients having indication for mechanical 3\.ventilation ( Invasive and Non invasive )
- •requiring sedation for more than 24hours
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Dexmedetomidine within last 7 days prior to admission
- •2\.Sedation \>72hrs prior to screening
- •3\.Cardiac failure or Arterial hypotension
- •4\.Known hypersensitivity to dexmedetomidine, midazolam or any of their formulation ingredients and their rescue medications
