Adult patients 18 years old
Admit to surgical intensive care unit after surgery
Informed consent will be obtained from patients if physical and mental capacity allow if patients could not give consent proxy consent will be obtained from a relative or legal representative
Be defined as high risk surgical patients according to the presence of at least 1 high risk criteria
Hepatic encephalopathy
Traumatic brain injury
Epileptic seizures shortly before or during SICU admission
Post CPR patients
